Druk Air passenger kicked out of the plane

I have just read the news on Kuensel where a sick patient was more or less kicked out of the Druk Air plane and all because of few tourist had complaint of the smell. I am shocked and embarrassed on all levels to read such an article specially from a Buddhist nation like Bhutan where the compassion is at the heart of everything we do. Such an act of abominable behavior from the management company is shameful to say the least and the Government of Bhutan should look into this. Hope other airlines will learn from this misfortune episode of Druk Air.

Hypocrisy comes to mind and hope the management will do everything in its power that this doesn’t happen again. We present our country as the GNH country and this sort of behavior doesn’t present well to the outer world. Kuensel online news is read far and wide beyond Bhutan’s towns and villages.

After Druk Air’s disgraceful behavior they should offer compensation to the sick person by way of making peace offering along with their public apology. I know this will not change what they have done but may at least help soften the pain for the sick passenger and his family as well as recover some of the company’s reputation. This will also reflect that Druk Air management acknowledges what went wrong and that they are willing to put it right their mistake and willing to reconcile in order to move forward.
